Dinosaur Party

I — The brief
Prehistoric, but handled as an interior. The palette was set first; every object had to earn its place inside it.
Zayne was turning three. The celebration happened inside a pale, modern family home, so the design had to sit within the interior rather than cover it. We set the palette first — sage, olive, dusty blue, deep navy and one terracotta — and admitted only objects that lived inside it: raw wood, moss, ferns, folded paper and brushed brass. The dinosaurs are there, but they are cast as sculpture.
Sage · Olive · Dusty blue · Navy · Terracotta

Detail — as styled
Sage, clay and deep blue instead of primary green — the room reads as an interior first and a dinosaur party second.
